Shuki Mizrachi President of the Association for Prosperity and Security in the Middle East

Introduction

Our next speaker traveled many thousands of miles to share his story of what he has accomplished with The Way to Happiness. 

A retired Major in the Israeli Air Force, a successful real estate developer, and a respected newspaper publisher, he is also the President of the Association for Prosperity and Security in the Middle East, a group comprised of Jewish and Arab citizens dedicated to bringing tolerance, peace and understanding to the peoples of this ancient region. 

He travels the length and breadth of his country working with children and teachers to help improve moral values in schools. 

To date he has met tens of thousands of students and teachers, and received commendations and thanks from principals and school supervisors from all across the country.

Speech

It is a great privilege and honor to be your guest here today at this glorious event.

As an Israeli citizen, I know personally of the pain and suffering that we have experienced as a result of conflict.

As a father, I know how important it is to ensure the survival and well-being of our future generations.

As a newspaper publisher and businessman, I know that our economic prosperity depends on peace, security and stability for all peoples, Arabs and Israelis.

The Way to Happiness book has shown me a way to achieve these goals.

When I first read the book, I felt that I got something that was missing in my life.

I was 42 years old at that time, the bank was full of money, I had all my watches, suits and cars that people dream about, but my heart was empty, and something very crucial was missing.

The Way to Happiness book gave me a new perspective on life, on the right way to experience life.

And I felt that I wanted to share it with my family and the rest of the world.

At that time I decided to give as a gift to my readers, the gift I got from Mr. Hubbard, and we put a copy of The Way to Happiness booklet in the newspaper to all of my readers, together with a message from me.

That day after we finished the distribution to 90,000 families, some 300,000 readers, I sat in my car...

and just cried...

I felt like I was flying in the sky.

It was such a relief to know that I did something good that would lead my readers to their own enlightenment, that will spread many good deeds all over the planet.

And so it did.

We received many calls from our readers, thanking us for the wonderful present.

One person even said that this book was the book of all religions.

At that moment I knew that I had to find a way to get The Way to Happiness book into the hands of our children, both Israeli and Arabic.

With a dedicated group of volunteers, I began traveling from school to school helping children and teachers see how their lives could be safer and happier through application of the principles of The Way to Happiness book.

Last year, our group met with 20,000 teachers and students in over 100 schools, both Arabic and Israeli, religious and non-religious, all over the country.

No words can describe the experience of being with 150 children and their teachers hearing one of the children tell of helping his father in his daily hard-labor job.

The acknowledgement the child received from his friends for his good deeds will never be forgotten by any child in the class.

I know that every child in that class learned what is right and will apply it in his future life.

Those children will always help anyone, and this is what The Way to Happiness book is doing, building awareness of moral values that will lift our future generation.

We in the Middle East are sitting on top the biggest gun powder barrel in the world, and it threatens to explode any minute.

It has been proven that no army can solve the problem.

It does not matter how strong or what kind of weapons they have.

We can solve the problem.

We can solve the problem peacefully with high morals, using Mr. Hubbard's wonderful gift to the world, The Way to Happiness book.

I am personally committed to carry on this vital job that we are doing, and with the help of The Way to Happiness Foundation International, our wonderful group in Israel and you good people, the sky is the limit.

We have no other choice...

We will bring peace!

Sanity!

And happiness to the Middle East.
